Baked Kale Chips

In another thread, GotGarlic mentioned Baked Kale Chips that she saw Ann Burrell prepare on TV. I LOVE the idea, so I did a little more digging.

Ann uses Tuscan kale, but others who have tried the recipe just used whatever they could find.

I cannot wait to make these!

Thanks, GG!

I haven't made them yet, but since I love, love, LOVE Kale, currently have a collection of no less than SEVEN different recipes for making "Kale Chips" - lol! (2 of the recipes are fairly identical to Anne's - that's a basic recipe).

Eat more Kale folks!!! It's both good & good for you!!

Hmmmm, well .....

I made these yesterday, and everyone who posted a response in the link above was right - USE VERRRRRRY LITTLE SALT!

I thought I was using less salt than normal, but mine were too salty.

Also, mine were extremely thin and brittle .... you could almost see through them, and they melted in your mouth.

I was hoping for a more substantial chip.

But I cut around the whole stem, so maybe I should have left some stem. My neighbors liked them, and I might try them again, making some corrections.

I made three jelly-roll pans of these things, and had a quart bag of raw kale leftover!

I wish I had an olive oil mister!
