Bacon Brown Sugar Brussel Sprouts

4 bacon slices (I use more)
1 can chicken broth, 14 oz
1 T. brown sugar
1 t. salt
1 1/2 lbs. Brussel sprouts, trimmed and halved

Fry bacon in a Dutch oven until crisp. Remove bacon and drain. Reserve the drippings in the DO. Crumble bacon and set aside. Add broth, brown sugar, and salt to drippings in DO. Bring to a boil and add brussel sprouts. Cover and cook 6 minutes or until tender. Transfer brussel sprouts to a serving bowl using a slotted spoon and sprinkle with bacon. Serve at once.

I happen to do a very similar dish and that's one of my favourite brussel sprouts recipes. I also toss in some toasted crushed cashews then swirl a touch of pure maple syrup over at the last stage and toss in the wok. Adds a lovely flavour to it:cool:
