Anyone watch Deadliest Catch?

I love that show...... apparently Captain Phil died yesterday after a stroke a week or so ago.... so sad. I really liked him he reminded me ALOT of my late FIL....

Oh man! That is horrible. I really liked Captain Phil. His health was declining, but I didn't think he'd go under so soon. That's really sad.

Its a VERY sad event. I really liked the guy. Not his lifestyle but I liked him.

Oh crap!!!! He was so young. I know life is tough up there but......

I have a son in Chugiak; He builds houses in the summer and works the North Slope in the winter, following the bucks. Pete is 41 now, and they don't come any tougher. He has been in AK so long now that it would be easy for me to visualize him on Phil's boat.

I love Deadliest Catch! One of my high school football teammates, Dan Decker,(he was second string halfback, behind me!) was a green horn on the Cornelia Marie. He had a really good first trip, but opted to not come back. I think it's because he's not a limelight kind of guy.

It's sad about Captain Phil. Chain smoking, tons of coffee, and tons of stress will shorten a life real quick.
