a trip to cancun

Lou and I are giving Mark and Sarah a trip to cancun for their engagement. They should be here in about 15 minutes. I've never given such a big gift to anyone before. I know they'll love it..it's just nerve racking. I've got a mild case of buyer's remorse, if that makes any sense.

I'm going to give them ribboned passport applications first...and then the printed expedia itineraries.

My hands are shaking...

They were so surprised. First, they gave Lou a card for father's day, even though he's not their father. Apparently, it said something along the lines of 'thank you for making my mom so happy'..... Then I gave them the passport applications which puzzled them for a moment...

They are so excited! I have no problems spending money on people, even myself, for that matter. I'm just more used to doing it in spurts . This was a big ticket item, if you know what I mean...and cannot be returned either, if it doesn't fit. They ran upstairs after dinner to look on the computer to check out the resort.

At the very least, they won't put me in a nursing home right away...:ohmy:

Thanks all of you...Like I said, I've never given such an expensive gift before.. So, I'll eat kraft macaroni and cheese for a month!!

I power washed the house AND front side walk last night. All I got was two more jobs. Kids get a horn on and they get a trip to Mexico. What's wrong with this picture???:bounce:

Good for you Vera. It's important to keep them happy so they select a better nursing home for us.
 
Lovely Vera. And don't worry--I have had to skip lunches to pay for presents. It will work out in the end. I wound up giving nice presents and lost weight!

Wow, I wish someone would give ME that as a gift! I loved Cancun - it's a LOT of fun!
