In baseball yesterday one guy shows true class!!!!!

Story

With two out in the top of the ninth in Detroit, young right-hander Armando Galarraga stood one out away from clinching the game's 21st perfect game. A slow roller toward first base off the bat of Jason Donald looked like a sure out, and when Galarraga covered the bag and caught the throw from first baseman Miguel Cabrera, the celebration was on. Except that first base umpire Jim Joyce inexplicably called the runner safe, ruining the perfect game bid on a blown call. The Tigers won, but Galarraga lost his perfect game and his no-hitter, and his teammates displayed their displeasure with Joyce after the game.

Television replays showed that Donald was out by half a step. For his part, Galarraga just smiled after Joyce made the safe call, went back to the mound and got the final out of the game. Some Tigers congratulated Galarraga on his win while other began berating Joyce as he was trying to leave the field.

Dang, those guys usually do not make mistakes like that.
To bad.

That was soooo hard to watch! What an awesome guy! The ump. apparently felt horrible after he watched the replay...

So far the league is not going to give it to him. WTF? The Commissioner of BB is anti-replay umping as in the NFL. They all look like idiots in the eyes of those who witnessed the OUT.

Agreed, Buzz.

I understand the concern about setting precedent, but this pitcher SHOULD be in the history books!
