A nutty early-morning observation

This is probably going to sound a little nutty to someone who isn't a parent or grandparent, but it's really kind of neat to have the entire family up at the crack of dawn, enjoying an early-morning drink of whatever (for me it's a cold coke, for Kieran, warm milk and for Mommy it's some hot tea) together and watching the soft night outside. Even the cats and the dog are all still asleep and it's just the three of us, enjoying being together and knowing that the others are always going to be there for us.

Okay, now I'll shut up and go back to bed.
