350 Main Brasserie

Matt is taking over - there is so much I could say but will keep it short. Quality has suffered since he started the sandwich shops. Last night he ordered several of the appetizers, all of the salads, and all the desserts. The salads were dinner salad size and mediocre at best. The ceasar salad was bearly dressed and not his signature salad that he made before he left. The wedge salad was not bad. Matt and Heather didn’t order entrees. He will address and change them later. He ordered the half chicken for Maddie and it was blah. Nancy had the black cod and not even close to what I make and told him. I got the fillet mignon, radium rare, which was excellent, but potato patties were cold. He tasted them and didn’t like them. The desserts had too much fruit added and looked old. The creame brûlée was not bad. I took a lot of pictures but will only post a few. One of Matt’s things is he doesn’t like to use vegetable sides that are out of season so he didn’t order the spaghetti squash. He took the bill so don’t know what was no charge and what was paid.

I asked him if he was going to start cooking there and he said probably. There will be big changes to menu and training to be done with the cooks.

Excellent review, John! I'm very interested to see the menu once Matt is in control!

Again, the Caesar Salad was huge but hardly any dressing. Matt said this was not his salad that he taught them to make. Matt’s dressing is basically the same as yours, Q. And WTF, 3 anchovies, but then I’m not a fan of white anchovies. The capers were few, as well, and didn’t add anything.
