I’m making sloppy Joe’s with a caprese on the side for tonight. Lunch was a chorizo sandwich with sweet onions slathered in yellow mustard.

I saw an army orthopedic doctor today about the left hip pain I continue to have 3 years out from hip replacement. He gave me a shot of cortisone, got blood work, and may have a bone scan. The joint may be loose…yikes!

Back in the late 90’s my wife had a week long series of classes on the new computer system her hospital was getting. It was in Framingham and we stayed at the Holiday Inn that looked like a medieval castle. I loved their breakfast buffet and their corned beef hash.

Caprese, Mexican rice, and a Peruvian white fish with leftover cod from yesterday and Mexican peppers she got at a bodega today.

We ate here today - I liked it, she didn’t. I don't know why she ordered fried fish?

We drove up to Gordon pumpkin farm in Skagit County and they are closed- - don’t open till the 26th. I must have missed it on their web site. We are at the big tulip producer now. She’s loading up on tulips for her and for gifts. Next stop is the pub in LaConnor.

I gave up on the gravy idea. This was enough.

Mads went to utah state fair.

Tonight is pork tenderloins - I’m making mine jeager schnitzel.

The mushrooms were nothing special… The ribeye was fabulous. The steak came with a salsa I never tried, as well as chimichurri which I did use. We all said we can’t wait to go back.
