I will never forget the Christmas we lost the cat at her first Christmas. She was mostly grown but still young enough that she would come to us for pets fairly often. We realized we hadn't seen her in hours so started calling and looking for her in the house. Couldn't find her. Progressed to outside (she was inside only) thinking maybe she had snuck outside when we were bringing in groceries earlier. No luck. Back in the house trying to figure out what to do and where to look next. Christmas tree starts shaking. She was moving around looking for a new spot to go back to sleep!
