Are you going to use a crockpot? Gonna keep the cinnamon in there?

I'm for sure making this tomorrow.
Went shopping today to get some plain yogurt to add.
I'll use plain white rice, however- since I always have a container of rice on hand.

There she goes!
I'm doing this on low for 8 hours.

I would love to try this. Unfortunately, my wife is allergic to cinnamon.
Boo! Jeff I'm not sure if there would be a good substitute for cinnamon.
There are other recipes for the same dish (Lubia among other names) that say to use allspice, make it with chicken or lamb etc. One has saffron and a curry powder so I don't know.
All I know is it smells divine in my whole apartment lol

Mmmmmm, I like the saffron idea! And lamb!

I really like this!
Added the fat free yogurt as suggested.
One thing : the recipe calls for those specific amounts of salt and pepper.
I found adding more to my plate really brought out all the flavours.
Got bunches left to share with some friends, and enough to put back for me.
