Oh poutine!! Until I made the acquaintance of some great Canadian friends here, I didn't know what poutine was...oh my, what a treat!

I have a half dozen fresh tortillas left over from last night, as well as some meat and sauce. I think I'll make some kind of nacho something for dinner.

A rich and comforting treat :)
I was thrilled to find our store had some cheese curds, so naturally, it's the first thing that came to mind lol

I can get the different flavoured ones Jeff, but I have to go to Berne, Indiana to get them.
The Amish do good cheese :-)

A guy here at work brought in a Brat with onions & peppers on a bun with mustard and cheese for lunch. That's making me crave some Brats tonight. Might just do that.

Must be a sausage kind of day! We are doing smoked sausage tonight. Not sure about sides, maybe some fried potatoes. My son's first basketball practice is tonight and DH is the coach, so it's gotta be something easy and quick. :)

It's turkey day prep/cooking time so I don't feel like cooking/prepping anything to much till then!! I think it will be french toast or grilled cheese w or w/o soup.

Well, I thought I had some crinkle cut fries, but made do with the skinny ones.
1-2-3 Poutine.
That's Heinz Savory Beef gravy.
Be gentle all ye Northern-more-than-me folks, this was my trial run lol
It's good!

I have some shrimp left over from the Chinese stir-fry. (The owner/cook always sneaks in a few extra shrimp for me .) I'm adding them to my egg foo yung dish.

The poutine looks yummy! There are restaurants here that make poutine, because there are ALOT of retired and vacationing Canadians here.

Thanks, Sass! My mom gave me that dish. I think she'd had it from the 70's! I like old dishes like that. Your dinner looks delicious too!

That looks great Mary, awesome job! I love the plate! And very nice pic! Looks like that new camera is working out for you! :thumb:

Oh Mary, your dinner looks luscious! Our dinner was a melange of leftovers from last night: I fried up the remaining tortillas and made chips, then heated up the leftover meat with a little of the sauce and added some of the dried chile seasoning I made today for our Thanksgiving tamales (pretty HOT because I added chiles moritos this time) and topped with cheese, crema, salsa and guacamole. And some olives. Out of a possible 10, Jerry gave it a 14! It was good.

No pictures tonight, but I cooked off some hanger steaks to everyone's enjoyment. I threw them into the sous-vide @ 42C (107F) for about an hour to warm the centers, and then threw them on a cast iron stovetop grill. I guess I shouldn't talk about hanger steaks or they'll start going up in price ;) Tonight my picky son equated them to filet with more flavor.

Oh Wow! Dinners look great tonight!! Those nachos are calling to me Karen!

I made fried chicke, creamed spinach, corn and snicker doodle blondies for desert! I plan to make Mary's blondies tomorrow :)

Perfect job on that fried chicken, Dee. And I surely could handle a big bite of one of the snickerdoodle blondies - do you have a recipe by any chance?
