I need something for the kitchen. I have a coffee grinder but it doesn't work for flat leaf spices. The one I have had for years is used for homeopathic purposes and crushes topical things so I don't like mixing cooking spices in it. It's too risky and I wouldn't want to poison the family by cross using the two.

I got mine at an oriental market. The grinding area is about 5 inches across. I grind most of my spices when I need them, especially cinnamon and cloves. I have one of the marble one, too smalll and too slick for me.

I use a cheap Braun coffee grinder for spices and peppers. To clean them take some white bread and run it though a bit then wipe it out. Oh and don't use it for coffee.
