Default New Velveeta "Hamburger Helper" box meals

Howdy! Here I am in my new place in Indiana, and we are finally unpacked
enough to cook... not that I have much energy to do it, LOL!

While in Walmart restocking the larder, we noticed that Velveeta has
a new line of hamburger helper style box meals, so we decided to live
dangerously and try the Cheeseburger Macaroni one.

I added some sauteed onions and garlic, and a can of Rotel tomatoes
and peppers....

It wasn't bad!

There is a seasoning packet to add to the simmering meat and noodles,
and a package of Velveeta cheese that you mix in before serving.
For quick, easy, filling and reasonably tasty, this hit the spot.

(I did make salads too.... first "healthy" thing in days, my body was
very happy for a salad!)

Sounds like the move went well. Enjoy your new house!

I haven't tried the Velveeta Hamburger Helper, but I tried Zatarain's Dirty Rice mix the other night. It was pretty darn good and so very easy .

Good luck in your new home, Kimchee!

Post pictures of it, and the yard, when you can!

Lee

P.S. I haven't tried Hamburger Helper in decades. Just never think of it. Sounds pretty good!

I like Zatarain's Dirty Rice too.. can add lots of goodies to it too.
Generally it gets sauteed onions, garlic, baby sweet bell peppers, celery,
sometimes tomato...
Hamburger, keilbasa, spam, chicken, catfish... it's all good in it too!

A big welcome to the Hoosier state, border buddy.
Moving sucks and I hope you and Mrs./Dr Kimchee are settling in well.
I love Indiana. It's the place of birth for both of my parents, and where all my extended kin (cousins,Aunts and Uncles are right now.. in the Terre Haute/WTH area).
Spent a whole lot of time there with my Grandparents as a kid.
Never been to New Albany, but from what I have Googled, it's a beautiful place to live.

I too haven't tried the new Velveeta/HH meals in the box.
I think the last time was the Hamburger Helper taco thing?
Now that was good.

Show us the new place and let us know how it's going.
More importantly, how do the kitties/doggies like their new home? lol

Glad the move went well Kimchee! It can be exciting as well as a bit overwhelming when you move to a new place.

I always keep a couple of boxes of Zatarains Dirty rice as well as the Jambalaya mix in the pantry. I haven't seen the Velveeta Hamburger Helper yet. That'd be handy to have around if you needed a quick dinner.
