Inline pics with comments above or below them

I'm hoping this works. If not I'll keep working on it.
1st off, be sure you are using the Enhanced Editor
(user-cp - options - Message Editor Interface: Enhanced Interface Full WYSIWYG Editing)

I was using the Standard Editor, extra formatting controls and this feature would not work for me.

Lets say I want to share a few pics and comment under each one.

1st add the pic like always:
Manage Attachments ...add pic, upload pic close window

Now look across the top of your editing window and locate the paper clip (to the right of where you can select text color.
Go into your text and click where you want the pic to be. Now click on the paper clip and select the pic you want to place where you just clicked the cursor. Repeat for multiple pics. All pics uploaded will be selectable from the paper clip.

Pretty cool way to comment on your pics. I like it. Hope you do too.

All I see are red X's, but anyways...
So this new feature does not place the text, but rather lets you choose where to put the pic amongst the text? So really the text could be on top of the pic, too, not just at the bottom?

Me too Doc it. This feature does work over at Foodie Forums with the same software. You simply download the pictures and when wanted you click on the attachment here button under the paper clip. That is why I had problems at first posting her originally as I was used to that system.

Yes, the text can be wherever you choose. Before or after the pic.
Not sure why you are seeing x's. I see the pics. :confused:

Is this feature working here for you now Joe? The problem might have been because I had the wrong default editor picked. The enhanced editor works where the standard one does not. All new members will be set up with the enhanced but all current ones will have to change it in their user-cp - options

Here is a picture I'm posting as I would on Foodie. Now be aware that I can see it but can you that is the question.

I see the pics. I'm just not sure I'm understanding the text. lol Next time I post a pic I'll try it..........it's all Greek to me.

Now to figure out why CH is not seeing the pics. Hmmmmm
Got me stumped for now. Is anyone else only seeing little red x's?

Over at Foodie there was one woman who couldn't see any pictures done in this manner. It seems she had an Apple system but was missing something as other with Apples had no problem. I don't know if she ever got it worked out or not as I pretty much don't post their often any more.

Oh and all I saw in my own post was a red x also.

i see all the pics.

btw i have the same pasta pot set only kitchen aid brand and it included a small steam basket, 2 pot holders, pasta fork and a ladle.

I'm also on a PC but using IE 8. I don't see any of them including the one I posted.

btw, mine is already set to enhanced full wysiwhatever, so that's not it.

why not use a photo site like imageshack.us?

you get the image link all ready to be copied and pasted. you can also resize and rotate with them. then it's just a matter of typing a line, inserting the copied line from imageshack, then typing another line, and so on.

Naah, that's from Photobucket. Just throwing it up there so Doc can troubleshoot if he needs to.

I like housing the images and posts all here on my server. If photobucket or image shack go belly up all the sudden we loose lots of content.
I don't mind others posting using photobucket but I am trying to give them the option of posting it all right here with the photos housed on my server.
Why some of us see the pics and others don't has me baffled. :confused:
I'll keep working on it.

i am on a gateway PC tablet laptop running vista and using IE 8 and i see all the pictures.

I see all the pix. Gotta do a test because I really like this feature and hate having to upload to PhotoBucket.
