I saw this on the internet and tried it today.
Spray slow cooker with Pam.
Put in cooker:
2 cups brown rice
5 cups water
1/2 teas. salt
Cook on high for 3 hours, without lifting cover.
Okay, keeping in mind that slow cookers vary, I read some reviews where people said it was perfect and some said it was a flop.
I have a 6 quart oval cooker and it was a flop for me. I checked after 2 hours and 15 minutes and the rice was a mushy glop.
I tossed it all (too much rice anyway) and did the 1 cup rice to 2 cups water on the stove top for 35 minutes. Perfect.
Has anyone here done this successfully?
