What have you eaten Sunday 6/23/2019 to Saturday 6/29/2019?

After disappointing porterhouse steak, I decided to try a NY strip for the first time in ages. It was great!

Grilled summer squash and grilled Caesar salad. Great summer meal!

Lee

I'll take a NY strip over any other cut. I really don't think porterhouse steak/T-Bone is that great.

This time the chicken was crocked with Campbell's cheddar cheese soup and cream of chicken soup, a little milk, and Worcestershire sauce.
Great flavour.
Decided to have corn too.
It made a great gravy for the potatoes.

Great Plating, QSis !

I'm with you, E.Daddy - Asparagus in the can .... ugh !

Didn't feel much like cooking in this heat; thawed some shelled mussels and threw 'em in 'Newman's Own' Fire-Roasted Tomato Sauce... should have made a Marinara ; Taste of the mussels was lost in the sauce...

Not sure at the moment what dinner will be tonight.
It sure isn't going to be chicken again.
Perhaps breakfast for dinner.

...Gonna hit ninety again today.....

I'll Wait as long as I can to turn on the air.... so, no kitchen today, I'm thinkin' a carry-in Pizza....

Not sure exactly what dinner will be.

Choices are:
Hot dogs with onion and tomato over small shells
Thin Eye round steak one of these ways:
- sandwich
- with eggs
- mashed and veggie
Leftover chili

Smoked turkey breast and provolone cheese on small Portuguese roll with lettuce and mayo. Chips and homemade dill pickle spears.

We went to a German deli after eating at a German restaurant a couple of weeks ago. They had mini pork shank that had been smoked. I don't remember what she called them in German, but the cut is known as hog wings or pork wings. I heated those up in chicken stock with mirepox and then used that to make gravy for spaetzle. We also had red cabbage.

Slop for supper .... ( shepherds pie ).
I helped Tina make it so to ease the strain on her neck and arm.

She used peas and carrots instead of corn. I like corn.

I love shepherds/cottage pie. I use ShopRite frozen mixed veggies for shepherds/cottage pie. I like the lima beans, green beans, carrots, peas and corn combo. Mine is a bit unconventional more deconstructed. I add the cheese to mashed taters and serve the meat and gravy mix over the potatoes.

Sounds good! The thing is, I like the peas, but NOT the canned ones.
The cheese..... I like in between the meat and potatoes, and then on top.
Tater tots can replace mashed potatoes.

Last Night's Pizza, from a place called "Friendly's" (owners are Turks!)

Topped with Chopped Onions, Sweet Peppers and Jalapeno's.

Nope, change of plans.
I/we liked the Mrs. Lucky burgers and eggs so much that DIL requested the same for dinner!

This time I'll use different toppings, with nuked sweet potato, tomato drizzled in Italian and green seedless grapes on the side.
Sounds refreshing to me.

DD's and I went out for breakfast and errands.

We all had tomato juice. DD#1 had Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and turkey sausage.
I had 2 soft boiled eggs. And a cup of coffee (they grind the beans fresh) that was so good.
DD#2 got steak and eggs. She shared her steak, home fries and toast with me.

Lunch was 1/2 order Edamame, egg roll and small amount of pork fried rice.

Not sure what dinner will be aside from a small salad.

I had to stop at TJ's to et a credit for items we didn't like. I got a box of strawberries, grape tomatoes, salad greens, smoked cheese, rice pudding, Belgian chocolate pudding and vanilla baton straws. With the credit all that cost me $4.00.
Then we went to D Mart. Very nice store. The bags of spices are some inexpensive. DD#2 picked up some spices and coconut milk to make curry. I will definitely go back and a look around better. I was in a bit of pain so I went out to car.
