Default What's on the plate, Sunday, May 26, to Saturday, June 1, 2019?

We'll be having marinated chicken wings cooked in the rotisserie basket on the grill and Mexican street corn potato salad. The wings have been in the marinade since yesterday evening, garlic, rosemary, lemon juice, salt, pepper and olive oil.

You're killing me with these giant steaks!!

Since yesterday I have had a pain down the right side of my face. Starting at my ear, down my jaw and to my neck. DD and I have had a bad cough for awhile. Not sure if it has gone into ear/sinus infection or a bad tooth. So chewing has been really painful. And of course it started on a holiday weekend so I can't do anything till Tuesday.
BUT I would suffer the pain for a piece of that steak!! And some fries.

Had a good time, and ate too much of course.
Spent most of the time having Sophie go through old pictures again.
She gave me quite a few that Ty had left in an old family album from when he and Aimee were still together/married.
I got one of myself and the boys Dad (my first husband) that shocked me.
Lol

Five way / chili, spaghetti, cheese, green onions, and beans.
Also added cinnamon, cocoa powder and cumin to the chili base.
Wish I'd had oyster crackers.

I don't mind Ambrosia, as long as it's not loaded with coconut and marshmallows.

That chili and spaghetti looks wonderful, Sass!

I cranked up my WSM and did a smoke-a-thon over the weekend.

A 9 pound pork butt, pulled and sauced with my secret sauce (which I can share in a PM, if anyone wants it). Hickory smoked.

A lightly smoked whole turkey breast, injected with Scottie's Creole Butter.

The ever-popular ABT's. Cherry smoked.

Not shown are rib trimmings with BBQ sauce and cherry-smoked bacon.

What a glorious weather weekend we had in the Boston area! Got my garden almost entirely all planted, listened to music and watched hummingbirds in the yard all three days!

Baby back ribs rubbed with my homemade rib rub, smoked in the stove top smoker (a mix of apple, hickory and mesquite smoke chip/dust) then basted with Heinz Kansas City Sweet & Smoky sauce and under the broiler to create bark. Sides are homemade mac salad and microwave steamed bi-colored corn on the cob.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Never explain yourself. Your friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe it anyway.
