Asian tonight.

Seafood salad, shrimp and squid this time, over a bed of grated carrots and sliced cucumbers, with a kimchi base/honey dressing.

Vege tempura, sweet potato, zucchini and mushrooms, with a sauce made from soft peak whipped cream and wasabi.

Beef tataki, heavily black peppered, seared tenderloin marinated in soy sauce, mirin, garlic, green onions, with a homemade ponzu sauce.

No clue at the moment about tonight's dinner, but we're going to Toledo in a little while and shop at Costco.

Late lunch.
Celebrating Cinco de mayo today.
DIL made tortas when we got home from Toledo.
The bread is rubbed with olive oil and garlic clove.
Filling is thin steak seasoned with cumin and onion powder.
Add mayo on bread, steak, avocado, tomato, lettuce and jalapenos.
Assembled sandwiches are put in the oven so bread gets toasty.
She has a Hispanic friend who makes these as well, but I like Aimee's better.
That bread tho!

New Nathan's all natural all beef hot dogs with no nitrates or preservatives except sea salt. They were great, and perfect texture.

It's amazing that you should mention that, because when I was In the Navy at this place stationed in Puerto Rico, there was a Gedunk Wagon / Roach Coach, that would travel down a winding hill that we would look for him with field glasses. As soon as he started down the hill, it would be 1 mile that he would arrive at the facility where I worked as a Utilitiesman in the Navy SeaBees.
We would shout, "Gedunk Wagon"..."Gedunk Wagon!" Every day I was on day shift, I would have 2 foot long chili dogs, and a glazed doughnut, with a pint of chocolate milk! ......I think it was $1.20.

Those dogs were so good going down! It's hard to find foot long hot dogs anymore. There is a place close enough, in Newton NJ that has a hot dog joint that sells foot longers. My DD works around the corner from there. Maybe I can get her to grab a couple for me. "Like pullin teeth!" ha ha
