Once again I am not sleeping. Pain, rain and insomnia! To early to think about breakfast.

I will be starting my Thanksgiving prep today.
On the agenda will be:
Roast turkey wings and make stock
Uncooked cranberry tangerine relish
Cooked cranberry sauce

I went grocery shopping at two places last night after I got off work.
So, I bought a small container of sliced meat sticks and cheese cubes and creamy coleslaw.
That's going to be my work snacky meal today.
Tomorrow I'm making country style ribs in the crock. Yay! Can't wait lol

I have bacon fat saved, Lucky.
Next time I make shrimp, I'll use it.

My ribs are going in the crockpot @10am.
I'll have lobster bisque and grilled gouda sandwich for lunch.

Shrimp, okra and andouille gumbo. Okra based gumbo has homemade andouille and the shrimp were added in the last 5 minutes of cooking. There is a tiny bit of leftover gumbo, but the shrimp are all gone.

Love the looks of that Andouille, Craig, though I suspect you make it too spicy for me!

Nothing yet!
Maybe a grilled cheese, and fried spaghetti in oil and butter; that was leftover from the other day.
Our stomachs are queasy.

Hope you all feel better soon, Jimmy.

I put the ribs on a bed of sliced, sweet onions, then added minced garlic, a drizzle of honey, then Open Pit brown sugar and bourbon bbq sauce.
On low for almost 8 hrs.
Delicious!

Mac and cheese made by Stouffer's

A heated slice of frozen pizza, and grapes for dessert.

Santa ( Pepper ) and Santa ( Salt ) look like they were going to join me, but they didn't want to get their beards stuck in the cheese.;) ....

Pork tenderloin sliced and pounded into cutlets, then breaded and fried in a mix of butter and oil, drippings used to make gravy, mashies and country green beans. Not fancy, but good.

I had ham, scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole (under the dinner roll) corn casserole, and sweet potatoes.
I'll have pie later if there is any left.
The turkey was gone.

My dinner plate: turducken roulade, roast brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes Foster, gravy, homemade rolls, wild rice and cherry dressing. Craig also had some slices of his smoked turkey breast and the andouille/trinity dressing with bread crumbs. The turducken was good and was moist all the way through. Will I do it again? Probably not unless I really, really need to impress somebody. My bread got a little too brown, as did the roast Brussel sprouts. I think the new oven may be running a bit hot because I set timer for just over half the time so I could switch pans. Good thing I did, otherwise bread would have been ruined. I ended up putting some chocolate pieces in some of the bread dough, so that will be our dessert.

Thank you Lollie.

DD & I got most dishes cooked (ready for warm up) or prepped ahead. Not much to do on T-day. Was very good. Hub & I just had turkey sandwiches for breakfast.:whistle:

Leftovers from yesterday.

Made a small amount of pate with the duck liver today for snacking tomorrow and Sunday. Craig threw away the turkey liver before I thought to tell him to keep it.
