No cooking dinner here today.
I went to Defiance to see my kids and we got a bite to eat at Fricker's.
Garlic chicken wings, wedge fries and salads.

My wife wanted to go to the fantastic hole-in-the-wall Jordanian restaurant, but was feeling poorly. So I gave it a whirl...
Lamb and beef kofta, a delicious eggplant salad and yellow rice.
She said it was yummy. :)

Today shark fin soup. Not from shark but from shark fin melon (still 10 left - huh).

Rest of the melon I cooked and will put to the freezer:

That ALL looks great, Kimchee.

I'd be interested to know what's in the eggplant salad.

Tina mommy made a soup with mushrooms / kale / cabbage / romaine hearts / carrots / beans / corn / and tomato pieces.....tiny meatballs, and a few minced small potatoes.
OMG...it was so good. I had two bowls with Italian bread and butter.

Progresso vegetable soup and peanut butter toast.
Felt like I was coming down with a cold earlier and didn't have any chicken noodle, so that had to do.
Feeling better now.

Feeling under the weather today. ??? I know not why?

I guess age is catching up with me bones!
Supposed to have chilli with beans, but I really don't see that happening yet.
Just had a bowl of leftover dishwater soup that T made the other day.
Tina mommy said," if yer sick, my soup will clean ya out!"....

I had big plans to make spaghetti and meatballs but a late lynch at a new place to me and am too full to think about dinner. The ruben I had was good but it wasn't as good as some I've had.

Well... I made the chili. chopped the beef in the food processor to make it easy for Tina mommy to eat it and be able to digest it easily. I worked! I didn't like it, but I ate it!
Tomorrow, she said she will have it like SOS. A toast slice, with the chili, and an egg on top.
I won't eat it again. I'm done with it! I'm just glad she was able to eat and enjoy it.

I got a 7" chicken, bacon and ranch pizza from a place called Hickory Pit.
My friend Hutch owns it.
He knows his 'Q, too :thumb:
http://www.hickorypitbbq.net/#!about_us/c12dk
I read it like .....I know. I confuse myself lately.

A 7" chicken. ( didn't see it was a comma; thought it was a period ) ( now I'm sittin here trying to visualize, a chicken in a line up, marked with inches... LOL then I read the bacon and ranch pizza........ Now I'm trying to figure out, what happened to the 7 inch chicken? Did it get eaten by a 10" inch chicken?
That pizza would look funny with a 7" inch chicken sittin on top of it!
Oh dear! Jimmy is losing it.

The site and hickory pit menu looks mouth watering.

Happy Birthday to Amelia!

I don't know what's for dinner yet.

Breakfast was oatmeal with banana slices and cinnamon.
That should tide me over until dinner, plus I've been drinking coffee like crazy- which suppresses my appetite much.

Thanks Ms Muffin. She's a sweetheart and can't wait till this evening.:bdaycake:

I've not had breakfast and should eat something. I've got a headache and maybe it's too much coffee. I dunno?

Peeps and Johnny got me jonesin' for mac and cheese, so that's what I made.
Bought a ham steak at the store and cubed it up and added to the mac with french fried onions crumbled on top, then baked it for a bit.
Buttered spinach on the side- which I forgot to add some tarragon to.:bonk:
I've been making spinach like that lately.
I think the combination makes for a wonderful flavour, just like peas and mint do.
