Debby, my Mom, made acorn squash like this for 70 years. There are several varieties using these ingredients but this is the way she made squash.
Acorn squash, split vertically. Scoop out the seeds and stringy section of the center.
1 T Brown Sugar
1 T Butter
1 T Pecan Chips
Fill the cavity with the brown sugar, butter, and pecan chips. Place cut side up in a baking dish. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 F for about an hour to an hour and ten minutes. Let stand ten minutes.
