What's cooking NCT? Jun.21-25.2016

I've got a pot roast simmering on th hob and will put it in the oven, in a bit, with carrots, potatoes, and onions. There will be a bottle of pickled beets and home made chili sauce to go with it.

I had a large everything bagel with off the bone ham slices, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and ranch dressing.

The pot roast came out great. It was a small roast I was going to grill as a steak and never got around to it. It was perfect for tonight.

Tonght I'm making a small paella and still considering whether to do it on the range or use the Weber. I should have pictures. :weber:

Last night was fish and chips at a Red Robin I've neve been to before and they were good.

Thursday, the son and DIL came over to paint.....
Tina Mommy Made one of the most delicious Tomato sauces ever.

She had sausage / beef cubes / pork cubes and "Beer Balls" in the sauce.
Beer Balls?? .... Yep! meatballs made with beer as the liquid with the beef, pork, and bread crumbs. My son loves them.

We had angel hair spaghetti with that. We had a salad, but I opted out, and had the Italian bread and butter instead.


Friday, We had Bologna sandwiches for lunch..... and Breaded thin cut Pork chops , mashed potatoes, and beans; with applesauce on the side.

Now, that will put hair on yer chest, as mom used to say to us boys.
Naturally, dad would say,"And what about you mom?" ... [ *end and forget thoughts there ]

I love to eat the roasted onion cooked with the meat juices. Ummmm!!!!!!

Tonight's paella was very good, just didn't have room for the chicken so it was on the side.

here's the Chicken with Mustard Mascapone Marsala
I use boneless skinless thighs instead of breast meat
if you haven't done this, you should - it's one of best!

Yes, wonderful presentation and will have to give this some attention. :applause:

Tonight breakfast for dinner was requested so will make sausage, bacon, (eggs if asked) and pancakes.
