Tonight was supposed to be left-over Meat Loaf, but I recycled some for breakfast, and now I don't feel like it........ Maybe I'll stuff a big Pork Chop... According to my Food Porn File, I haven't done it since 2011.........

The only pot pie I will eat.
Marie Callender's. Beef.
... with the pokey hole ketchup a la Aussie pies n sauce.
They're big, a meal in itself with gorgeous pieces of beef and a great flakey double crust.
Yummo.

Grilled pork tenderloin marinated in a 3-mustard/honey/cream mix, then served with the same (reserved mix) as a sauce. Sides were packet potatoes, seasoned potatoes in a foil packet, cooked on the grill plus honeydew and watermelon chunks.

Well, the Pork Chops I had on hand were a bit small for stuffing, but "D**n the Torpedoes !"..........

Simply Stuffed Pork Chop with Boiled Cabbage w/ Bacon Bits, Asparagus Spears, and a Gravy Drizzle...

I've got a coupon for Marie Calander's, and today is food shopping day, so I will take Sass's recommendation on the Pies. I stay away from Frozen meat pies, as they never live up to the pic on the container, but I trust Sass's judgement, and I'm all in on Easy-Peasy lately !

I will only eat Marie Calander's frozen beef pot pies. The other brands stink!! Marie Calander's crust comes out wonderful from the microwave.

Yes it does taste equally as good from the microwave.
I tend to bake mine though, even though it takes an hour.
But it's a big pie compared to others.

Tonight it's an Oktoberfest fund raiser at St. Charles Borromeo in UP. I'll have a brat and some potato salad but that's all... early walkup and on the road by 0500, I hope.

I spent $150. for two Lobster tails that were wonderful. I bet these pork chop was just as satisfying. Any food was better than sending flowers.

Dude, you need to find a new place to shop. I hope a large portion of that was shipping, cause even at expensive markets, Caribbean lobster tails aren't more than $20 each.

I've looked at several places online.
Starting price per is $65 and up.

https://crabsr.us this is where Craig picks up stone crab claws (mediums are best buy shell to meat ratio). They'll have more items when stone crab season opens 10/15.

https://www.giovannisfishmarket.com/seafood-online/lobster/spiny-lobster-tail.aspx we've gotten oysters from here.

No where near $65. Just got to have mad research skills, which happens to be a large part of my job.

Personally, I would never buy ones that big. They tend to get tough when they are that size. When we caught ones that big, even from deep water, we always used them for lobster salad or in some other type of dish, never just to eat on their own like Dan did. I'm 5'2" and the biggest we ever caught was end of tail at my shoulder/arm joint to nose tip at my fingertips. That one got used for a huge batch of lobster salad.

Stone crab claws are the same way. The bigger they are, the more shell weight you are paying for and the meat is not as tender. Don't ever buy jumbos or extra larges unless you are trying to impress a tourist. Larges are borderline. Mediums are your best buy.

Also, don't ever buy from a road side vendor even if they are advertising a fantastic price. The crab claws and lobster are usually good (the nose knows), but they are selling "lights" that the fisherman needed to get rid of because markets won't buy them. They are animals that are either getting ready to shed or have just shed and the meat is not at it's prime.
