Nut Bars
This recipe came from a Beth Am Sisterhood Passover Institute from the 1970s. This Temple is no longer in existence and merged with another one. It is a recipe that my family always makes for Passover.
Ingredients:
2 oz. Bitter chocolate
½ cup oil
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
½ cup sifted matzoh meal
½ cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon instant coffee
Directions:
Melt chocolate. Add oil and salt. Beat eggs and sugar. Add to chocolate mixture. Gradually stir in matzoh meal and coffee. Grease 8” square pan well. Bake about 25 minutes at 325 degrees. Cut into bars when warm.
