Where I work are having their annual Polka Fest.
So I'll be enjoying brats, bbq chicken, German potato salad, and dessert.

Didn't get any pictures, but the food was excellent as well as the event.
For those of you on my FB friends list, click on the link of where I work, you can see the photos there of the fun.
We even had draft horses giving wagon rides.
:D

I've got some leftover chicken from the previous nights dinner.
I'll take that to work with me tonight along with a salad.

Rib eye steak - rice and either brussels sprouts or broccoli.

There is a zucchini the size of a watermelon sitting on the counter.
I also see a pack of ground beef . I think DW is going to stuff it?
Now the zucchini flood starts.
I like it, but only cubed and boiled, or fried with olive oil and garlic minced and added at the end of cooking so it doesn't burn the garlic.

Decided on mash instead of rice.
Steak was flash in the pan, long enough to make the fat lovely.
Yummm...

I actually love a pan-seared steak, Sass, and your cut is my favorite.

Also, thanks for the reminder about Brussels sprouts - haven't had them in awhile!

Dinner tonight was 3 rustic galettes. Two were grape tomatoes, thinly sliced basil, fresh moz, thinly sliced garlic, some shredded Parm R. The third was a blackberry one for dessert. It's a recipe I got from the TV show Cooking with Julia (Childs) years ago but I don't remember the guest chef whose recipe it was. No pics from the savory ones, they got eaten too fast. Hopefully from the blackberry one, it's cooling right now.

Thanks, Lee and you're welcome.
I was going to roast the sprouts, but by the time I started dinner, it was pretty late for me.
I'm busy all the time these days between my job and shopping for the apartment.

Had cubed zucchini and little meatballs in a tomato sauce.
I didn't like it. Tina made it. Just hit my stomach the wrong way.

I'm working half shift, evening 6-10p.
I'll eat early before.
Probably a Marie Callender's beef pie (with the center ketchup dump).
