Well I made dough last night and it's sitting in fridge.
I took sausage out to thaw for sausage bread.
I also have a b/s chicken breast marinating for pasta salad.
Both will be used for lunches during the week.

Still, unsure about dinner tonight.

Maybe lamb chops or I'll let DD's decide.

Sunday's dinner was at Magurk's Pub in Horsham, Pa.

Appy was a "Philly Cheese Steak Egg Roll .........Served with Sriracha Ketchup...

IMG_4460.jpg

Absolutely the Crabbiest Crab Cake I've ever had "out" - Finglerlings, boiled, I think, and Asparagus Spears, just slightly under-done... a lot 'Crisp' , not much 'Tender'.......... Great Meal anyway !

This is for DansDiamond or anyone who has lots of tomatoes right now.

If you have an over abundance of tomatoes and like tomato basil soup, try this. I didn't want to bump the other thread.

FM put the recipe on here a very, very long time ago, and I'm made it several times. I've even made it with canned tomatoes. It's kind of a calorie bomb but very good.

Last night was a cheeseburger.

I made the pasta salad last night. Had a bit for breakfast.

I plan on making sausage bread today if I don't run out of energy and pain levels are low.

Dinner may be pasta of some sort. But who knows what the day may bring.

I had some pineapple left from cooking teriyaki chicken, so I made some ham and pineapple fried rice. Dinner will be the remainder of that. I've never made it with ham, but I liked it.

I had a naked burger on a plate with pasta salad as a side.

I'll have some sausage bread later.

Well, It isn't the Labor Day that used to be ; no Family gatherings around the backyard grill, salads of different varieties carried in by cousins and aunts... lawn games, lots of kids running around ; usually in the back yard of the Uncle with the pool............ Nope ! Those days have faded away with the advent of social media and social distancing...........

So,

Kinda-sorta Shrimp & Sausage Jambalaya and a Bean Salad....... at least the Ball Game survives..........

Yes, Dan - I just saw a 2-bedroom townhouse in my complex, all renovated, for sale. At $399, 900 it's a steal. Seriously. They've been going for about $425K.

Come East. We don't have fires or earthquakes (knock on wood).

Are you guys going to be okay?

Thank Lee- We are not in any paths
of the fires. Smoke is a different story.
we also had a small Earthquake yesterday,
No damage here though.
It is that beautiful BBQ you had that wants to be your neighbor. LOL

You got me in the soup mode, Peeps :).

I'm cooking the Walkabout Onion Soup copycat recipe from Outback. I have cantaloupe for later.

I had forgotten how salty these Smithfield smoked chops are.
I've got 3 more to eat.
:ThinkingFace2:... or do something with them.

Looks good Sass.

You can make ham and greens, beans and ham or split pea soup.

I don't think that I've ever seen Sass eat greens, but that's what I vote for too...mustard, turnip, or collard greens with cubed smoked pork :ready-to-eat-19:.

................

I'm going to make some Italian pasta salad for tomorrow. I'll use bottled Italian salad dressing. I have lots of things to add...black olives, pepperoncini, tomatoes, broccoli, etc.
