Salad or Dessert?

I can't tell the difference, lol. My mother calls it a salad and my husband calls it a dessert - I guess it's two in one!

Pretzel "Salad"

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Crush 2 cups of pretzels
2 Tbsp sugar
1/4 cup melted butter

Mix thoroughly and press into a greased 9x13 baking pan and bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.

Blend together:
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup drained crushed pineapple
8 oz of softened cream cheese
8 oz of whipped topping

Spread over cooled pretzels.

Dissolve 1 large package of raspberry jello in 2 cups of boiling water. Add one 8 oz package of thawed frozen raspberries. Pour over cream cheese layer. Cover and chill overnight.

So........is it a salad or dessert?
