this is the TDU doing the initial inspection:

*TDU = Trimmings Disposal Unit

We had a half malamute/half golden retriever that was our TDU as well, except she would also help herself to things defrosting on the counter and even things cooking if left unattended. She'd also help herself to tasty things left in the sink like used wooden spoons, spatulas, etc. She was a big girl, around 90 pounds, and almost 5' tall when she stood up.

Yep, we're grilling.
Chicken breasts and beef ribs.
Sides will be (I think) sweet potatoes and asparagus, but DIL mentioned a cold broccoli pasta salad.
If it were up to me it would be the meats and 2 veg lol
Oh, I'll do a berry mix for dessert too.

Pasta with our oven dried tomatoes, chicken breast brined, roasted and sliced, dried basil, parm, white wine, chicken stock, red pepper flakes, and mozzarella pearls stirred in last minute or so of cooking.

I wanted to use fresh basil, but discovered that the fresh that looked fine yesterday turned brown overnight.

Gotta say I was quite pleased!
Used pecan for smoke with a spritz now and then of beef broth in the spray bottle.
Long and low per my son's instructions.
Decided to make the brocc/pasta salad, and some cabbage fried in bacon grease.
It was really nice.
Sweet Italian bread too.
We'll do the chicken tomorrow, and the sweet potatoes/asparagus.
It's been fun! ?

>>she would also help herself to things . . .
oh, this guy can't be trusted either!

I wonder if that's an 'arctic breed' genetic trait - this guy absolutely lives to be outside in the cold, snow, rain, sleet - that requires a lot of calories to stay warm - he's always ready slash desperate to eat . . .

If that's poetry or acts from a play, you'll have to enlighten me Chowdah..

Today will be:
Grilled chicken
Sweet potatoes, can't decide sweet or savory.
Asparagus
Mixed fruit salad- strawberries/blackberries and blue.
No one started a new week, so there ya go.

Linguine with clam sauce (Clams Casino "clam" butter from freezer - butter, clam liquor, white wine, lemon juice, shallot, garlic, parsley, bacon, salt and pepper). Topped with Bacon and toasted Panko bread crumbs and fresh grated Parm Reg and Romano cheeses.

Nice job on those ribs, Sass! Even got a smoke ring!

What did you use for a rub? How long on the grill (gas grill?)
