I can't wait for the Thanksgiving Day feast either. I just started working on my menu plan and shopping list.

BTW This thread is a year old.

YIKES! I remember when NO ONE even started thinking about doing Christmas till Thanksgiving night or Black Friday. Except maybe for a day or two during July. Christmas was magical when I was a kid and a young mother. Now the holiday is so commercial. It's like no one remembers it's a religious holiday. And don't get me started with Hallmark Channel and others inundating us with Christmas movies ALL damn year!! I have started to hate thinking about the creed of Christmas and that's sad.

Sorry rant over.

I’m not sure what will happen here. We can’t host a big dinner this year. My wife is at the end of her tether doing things for me plus she has started a major house cleaning and getting rid of things we don’t need. She is even eyeing my hunting and reloading stuff in the garage. I can’t do anything about it right now.

Peeps, the store already had all the Christmas stuff out and on display.
Since moving into my apartment last year I've not bothered to think about decorating much for Christmas last year, though I did decorate a little.
I felt the need to FINALLY get a tree and there they were right in front of me.
This is exactly the one I bought.
I plan to put it up right after Thanksgiving.
Right now it's in the hall closet still in the box.
