These are very easy and tasty, great with breakfast if you do them overnight in the slow cooker.

6 to 8 medium baking apples, washed, cored, with top 1/3 of apple peeled.

Filling:
Raisins
chopped pecans
brown sugar

Topping:
1tsp cinnamon
1/2tsp nutmeg
2tbsp butter
1/2 cup water

Place apples in slow cooker, fill with raisin/pecan/sugar mixture. Sprinkle with toppings and dot with butter. Add water careful not to splash toppings on apples.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or overnight.

I just love baked apples, Mav, but I've never done them in anything but the microwave. This sounds great as it would also make the house smell fabulous!!! Thank you for posting this.
