Yep, Barry Whitwam, the drummer. I got to know Barry and his lovely wife Pat in Manchester, England. REALLY nice people. On one of Barry's US tours he was doing a night at a casino not far from me. I brought another couple along and Barry set up front row executive seating for us. Woo woo. lololol

I played in a college rock band in Madison during the 60's and we had a couple of Hermit's tunes in our repertoire. :)

I can't take all the credit- You gave me that BIG hint !

In 1968, my soon wife to be was working in the chorus at NYC's Copacabana.
The whole line got invited to columnist Earl Wilson's B'day party......

I met-
Steve Lawrence and Edie Gorm'e, Jackie Vernon, Sebastian Cabot and others..
Robert Goulet and Carol Lawrence were there. "My friend Bob" (as I referred to him in future conversations) noticed my Nehru jacket and struck up a conversation with me on the subject. Asked me if he could try it on for looks !
I treasured that jacket as my number on conversation piece for a good while afterwards.
