CRAP !!
Jut the opposite ! Males make the raspy, “Duck, Duck” sound, while the
females are the Quackers.

But in fact, hardly any ducks produce the characteristic 'quacking' sound
we've come to associate with them. The most common UK duck, the mallard,
does quack, but other breeds croak, squeak, whistle, or remain mute.

a funny pizza story . . .

I worked for an multi-national, and once a year we had a meeting. colleagues from Sweden, Holland, France, UK, Italy, Spain, Germany and USA. the location of the meeting rotated thru the various countries.

it Italy, the pizza is very good - however it tends to be a more purist / minimal prep.

when the meeting came to USA, I took them to Pizza Hut and ordered up the Supreme version. eyeballs were popping out - they still talked about it years and years later .... the kitchen sink style was not a known thing in Europe at the time.

The pizzas I've had abroad, especially in Italy were very simplistic.
Fresh tomato sauce, whole herbs, and fresh glops of mozz, very rustic crust.

The only place that ever came close to those are the ones offered at Bertucci's in Warwick,Rhode Island.
Yes indeedy.

totally agree. the Italian approach seems focused on crust, freshness, prep.a few simple ingredients done/matched/prepped for an outstanding result.

but even 'over there' simple stuff like pizza gets slaughtered - one bloke took us to 'the best pizza joint' in Eindhoven. oh dear . . .
