I don't recall the last time I made or had couscous.
I believe it was part of my airline meal with KLM Royal Dutch lol

Today I'm going with my friend Jules to Michigan.
We may stop somewhere, depending on what's open - to grab a bite.
I'd love to go to Sullivan's in Wauseon on the way back, but sit-down dining won't be happening until after the 21st here in Ohio.

I had Couscous Once too!
It was like eating sand mixed with wall paper paste.

Like I wrote to LT, you have to add some kind of dressing or fat, i.e. a gravy or sauce. It's just a pasta and other kinds of plain pasta aren't very nice to eat either.

Lunch was rocket salad with sliced mushroom and hard boiled quail eggs dressed with olive oil, red wine vinegar and house blend seasoning.

Dinner was loaded wonton soup:

Add-ins were Baby bok choy chiffonade, snow peas, sliced scallions, enoki mushrooms, bean sprouts, toasted sesame oil, hot chili sesame oil, soy sauce, black and white sesame seeds.

Homemade pork wontons (I used ground pork shoulder and fresh wonton wrappers, it tasted really good. The wontons were cooked yesterday) heated in chicken broth. Wontons and boiling broth added to bowl on top of veggies. The veggies were nice and crisp.

Beautiful, Peeps!

We got dinner from Ninja, then ate out on my back patio.
I got the seafood lovers with lobster tail, shrimp, scallops and rice... as well as the appetizer sampler (crab rangoon, tempura shrimp and spring rolls).
Stuffed!

On the way back from Michigan we stopped at the Brown Bag Market. Oh how I love that place!
It's charming with it's roots going back to the local mennonite family, the Troyer's.
I got salsa, b&b pickles, and from the deli, bacon smoked sliced cheddar cheese, Virginia ham, their lovely Pettisville potato salad and luncheon spread and an oven ready ham loaf.
Yikes, it was all pricey, but what the heck lol
They had gloves and hand sanitizer at the entrance.
Only 8 customers allowed in the store at a time.

I keep forgetting to make Cincy chili, Lucky!
It's now on the list.

Tomorrow I'm going to make that ham loaf, probably with the usual sides: mash (pan gravy) and a green veg.

Our dinner last night (from the freezer) was a real Shepherd's pie using leftover lamb, gravy made from lamb broth that I made using the bits I trimmed off to French the original lamb roast, as well as the bones from the leftovers, plus carrots, parsnips, onions, mushrooms, a bit of garlic in the gravy and a mashed potato crust. Not very pretty, but it was really good.

My late Father in law used to make a killer shepherd's pie.
He was from Burnley, Lancashire.
A true Irishman.
His hot pots were the bomb.
Grandma Durkin was said to have been a great cook of all things relative to England.
Wish I would have known her.

Tina is back home from her shopping for supplies and food from Sams Club in Easton, PA. They had plenty of stock, and plenty of paper products.
She stopped at a German Market, and their ground beef was out for $10.00 a pound. Ridiculous.....
She brought back a rotisserie chicken for supper tonight.
I won't eat that. I'll have a couple Johnsonville Brats instead. A garden salad with it.

This ham loaf is excellent!
I was hoping for pan gravy, but it was merely grease in the bottom of the pan mixed with some of the glaze, so I settled for a plop of butter on my mash.
Peas and pearls too.

That is price gouging! So sorry about that Jimmy.
I am paying $2.99 a pound here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I think I paid $20+ for a pack of two rib eyes yesterday.

That was the only package of them out on the meat case at Super Walmart.
They had cheaper cuts as well, and even they were priced ridiculous.

A sauce with diced fresh tomatoes, garlic, viegar, olive oil and water and sugar.
Cooked a little; then added zucchenni that I cubed and browned earlier.
Hope to have it with medium shells pasta, or green spinach pasta of some kind.
It depends on the others attitude. Or it could be assitude the way I would say it to them........ Hee Haw.
