I'm sorry I was not around and missed it. I didn't get any emails saying I had a PM here, and obviously, I haven't been around. Had some medical stuff that I was dealing with, hadn't been too active online, but got my PM's now, and again, sorry I flopped out and was MIA, I wish my notifications were working here.

made food fer the apron thread.1~the ingredients fer my sorta combo of beef brachiole & roulades
2~ingretients 4 the sauce/salad
3~the beef stuffed w/ mozzarella, provolne, a chiffonade of fresh basil, campart vine-ripened tomato slices & seasonings
4~bundled & tied, & dredging 'em
5~sliced w/ whole wheat spinach pasta
6~a closer pic of the beef
blake isn't here, so apron pix'll hafta be posted when he or a pal visits.

VERY NICE!!

I make mine with completely different filling (basic filling learned from mom and aunts). I will have to try it this way soon. Thank you for the pics. Please post the steps/recipe luvs. YUM! I LOVE spinach pasta and fresh basil rules.

well, TY, peepz~ i also put the thinnest slices of proscuitto & shaved a few curls of parm.-reggiano onto the beef.

thanx, mama. i combined various ingredients from quite a few recipes. i can send u estimates.
TY, too, doc. (btw, i put that i'd have blake or a pal take a pic of me in the apron. musta not sent the msg.)

i could take a pic of the apron myself.
jus' needed to get dinner cooked & the apron sent on. wait, i put that in the last line.

luv's roving apron #3 recipe-

-skillet steaks (1-2 per person- see pic)
-proscuitto (sliced as thinly as the deli can slice)
-provolone (thinly sliced)
-mozzarella (also sliced thin)
-parmigiano-reggiano
-vine-ripened campart tomato (1 per roll)
-fresh basil a/n
-granulated garlic
-sage
-freshly craked black pepper
-flour

*butcher's twine, pre-soaked in h2o
--------------------------------------------------------------
(leave a border on the steaks & leave room @ 1 end to keep filling in.)

season the beef w/ garlic, sage, & pepper. place a proscuitto slice onto center of ea./ steak. halve the cheese slices & place 2 halves onto each piece of beef.
layer several basil leaves, & roll tightly into a cylinder. slice into ribbons. sprinkle over cheeses.
using a veggie peeler, shave parmigiano-reggiano curls over the other ingredients.
fold sides of meat over. tuck the end nearest u in, & roll into a tight bundle. tuck sides of meat into filling. tie using the twine.
dredge in flour (may season the flour). shake excess away.
meanwhile pre-heat canola oil, & brown meat.
drain & allow to rest fer a few minutes, remove twine, & slice.

tomato sauce--
-1 bottle cento crushed tomato
-granulated garlic/onion/sage/oregano
--------------------------------------------------------
simmer gently, stirring occasionally.
serve over beef/pasta. i used hodgeson mills whole wheat spinach pasta.
grate parm.-reggiano over pasta & garnish w/ fresh basil.

:whistling:i jus' made half my food slide from my freezer to get a pic of that steak.:yum:

Good pics Luvs. :thumb: The apron is filling up with sigs. I do hope you signed it a 2nd time, and date your sig if you will please.

Who else would like the apron one more time. I would like to fill it up with sigs, and if no new members are ready to give it a try any member can step up for a 2nd turn with the NCT Apron. Lets keep it rolling a while longer.

apron's tidily folded & waitin'. (p.s.- I signed the apron, again, doc:encore:) although, have not yet sent it. i was waiting to send it to another nct cook, or to u.
i fergot to buy an envelope to mail the apron in while getting groceries, earlier.
i'll get one when i know whom to send it to.
