Well, are you voting or not?
Please vote.If you vote the choice is yours, if you do not vote, the choice is theirs.

Even if your candidate looses, politicians look at the turnouts and fear increasing numbers. Better they are afraid of us then us afraid of them.

No elections here today nor in any state I would live. Didn't vote in your poll either as I really don't think it applies to me but had to just jump in.

You bet your sweet gluteus Maximus I voted. Like Barb, I voted on the three issues, and did my best to vote out the ancient incumbents in our City Council.

FWIW, DW called me from the polling place to tell me our precinct # had changed from 3F to 3E, and that she was sent to another location (across the street) to cast her vote. I said I checked the county election website this morning because I knew they shuffled some precincts to relieve hte pressure on some polling places, but I was sure our precinct number and voting place had not changed. I thanked her for the heads up and went back to fixing my truck door. Five minutes later my cell goes off and she tells me she was given wrong information, so it was back to the original place. Upset, she went back and asked the person in charge of the polling place, and gave him an earful about the person handling the information table doing their job properly, especially since all poll workers are paid here. Good for her speaking up.

Too funny Joe. They sent us a notice about a month ago telling us our polling place had changed and here is your new one.............the exact same place!!! Is this our tax dollars at work???

I voted when I got out of work last night, 10 minutes before the polls closed.

I'm curious about joe c's comment, too. ????

I think he's from Kentucky.

:bonk:

Yes I'm in Kentucky and nothing this year but next year will be the time. It isn't that I don't vote there was just nothing to vote on here in 2009. That is true in a lot of places not just Kentucky. You really only had 3 or 4 states with voting yesterday nation wide.

I voted. It took longer to walk the 2-3 blocks to the school than it did to vote, but we went.

Mayor (2 people), City council (8 people running for 7 spots), 2 millage renewals, that was it. Oh, and the city clerk running unopposed.

Then it was home for Mac and Cheese. :)

I vote almost every election... Was a local contest for Township supervisor this year, two seats were open. Actually, I'm glad there were openings and I think all the candidates would be better than the departing incumbents.

I just checked and they had 1 local special election that Lexington doesn't have a say in. It was for a state Senate seat for a district in SW Kentucky. Hence it wasn't even mentioned on our local TV stations here in Lexington.

No voting going on here either Joe. Not sure about the rest of the state, but nothing up for vote in Cicero or anything on the State or Federal level for us either.
