My colored Easter eggs didn't sweat!

For the very first time, my beautiful Easter eggs didn't sweat, get condensation, drip ... whatever you call it!

For the first time, I just kept them in the pretty woven straw bread basket, uncovered, in the fridge. Usually, I put them in a bowl, sometimes ceramic, sometimes plastic, sometimes covered, sometimes with paper towels ... they always have sweated!

Is the basket the answer?

I'm SO pleased with this years batch of colored eggs! I have 3 left and they are dry as a bone and as pretty as they were the day I colored them.

(yeah, little things like this tickle me!)

I think that it's the air circulation around them. You don't get that except in something like a woven basket.

Lee that's a nice-looking nest, remember don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Sorry poor attempt at humor

"sweating" aka condensation results from warm, humid air settling on a cold(er) object.

it will happen regardless of "air circulation" - altho quite true a high volume of air circulation will hasten the evaporation of the surface condensation moisture.

so why did it no happen this year?

- eggs were not so cold when dyed / dried / put in fridge
- ambient temps/humidity was lower than usual
- excess moisture eaten by aliens
