🌹 Still trying to get it right.
I was going to shop this morning but it's pouring. Forecast says heavy rain and high winds. So shopping will wait till tomorrow.

Tonight will probaby be pork chops and sauerkraut.
 
Birthday meal tonight. DD = 41 today. She requested fish dinner.
I'm all set to cook. Mommy picked up all the fish yesterday.

Seafood stew... calamari / shrimp / clams / muscles / scallops ...over linguine.
Steamed littleneck clams....
Peel & eat shrimp ......
Fried coconut shrimp....
Fried breaded shrimp.....
Broiled Salmon .....
French fries .....
Mashed Potatoes ( for Tina )
Rice ... ? Just a small amount for fussy son.
 
I made a veggie noodle soup for lunch, using last night's noodles in broth with the veg.
Man, it tasted so good.

Aimee's tacos are amazing.
She uses 'fried til floating' large flour tortillas- then drained of the oil.

Quickly assembled w/ steak-umms, sliced soft cooked potatoes in cumin (yes!), onion, lettuce, shredded cheddar and salsa.
I ate 3.
Just the right amount of crisp to the tortillas.
Didn't get any snaps.
 
Well, last night's Chili Mac 'n Cheese had to become Chili-Penne 'n Cheese.....
All I had in the way of Macaroni was the remains of that stuff I bought by accident

I was going to go grocery shopping but with 60 mph winds I decided not to out.
So tonight will be something with ground beef I took out. Probably meatloaf.
 
Italian style marinated chix thighs done on the grill. Grilled Japanese eggplant, zucchini and summer squash to go with.
 
Last night's Oven-Fry Chicken Fingers, Air-Fried Onion Rings, Steamed Sprouts and a Honey - Mustard Dipping Sauce....


I should have done the Fingers in the Air Fryer as well....

my best guy-pal made me a grilled cheese on semolina bread & w/ wht. american land-o'-lakes cheese & tomato-basil bisque--
 
I made MY supper last night. Hot Italian sausage and peppers. To have with spaghetti and sauce.
The others won't eat if it's too HOT. Spicy hot that is.
 
Had sausage and peppers and it was good.
It was a little dry, but .... Great tasting.
The longer the storage in the freezer dries it some. Especially with the preservative salt. All of last years pig, is done.
Now.....the new pig is at the butchers to stock up for this coming year.

MS. Piggy is bleeding out on the farm. DD is glad, because it is a pain in the butt when she breaks out of the pen. Last week, DD had to run and search 4 times. This pig was the only one of the 20 or so, who is a master escape artist. Plus the next time, the cops said, will be a $500.00 fine.

Either giant turkey legs <gasp>...and sides of mashed sweets and another veg.
Or- soup and sandwiches.
Depends on how alive I am around dinner time.
 
Last night was bugged/onion gravy over a baked potato.
There is enough left over so think I'll do it again tonight.
 
Italian hero, Italian butter, pineapple chunks, Buttermilk Blue cheese and bread slices.
