How are the kids doing?
Fevers down? ..... Some people it's a common thing having a fever when they don't feel good. My son always gets the stomach cramps, and Maria always gets a fever around 101 whenever shes sick.
Hoping they feel better....
Enjoy the Easter, and enjoy your meal.

DD's fevers are down for now.

Well I nixed the broccoli rabe for today (I just don't feel like cleaning etc.).
No dessert today. I will make the cheesecake (and maybe the sweet pies)later for tomorrow.

We had Instant pot stuffed artichokes for lunch.

Stuffed artichokes with lemon, garlic and olive oil pot liquor for dipping.

One of our residents son owns a family style restaurant.
He brought us broasted chicken, jojo potatoes and several cream pies.
We have an Easter treat basket too.

Fantastic meals, you guys!

Dan, was your beef a Blade Roast by any chance? I haven't found one of those for years, but I keep looking! Beautiful dinner!

Sass, that broasted chicken looks delicious!

Peep, your dinner plate looks similar to mine.
It was a beautiful day yesterday, so I sat out back, listening to music with neighbors (social distancing), smoking ABT's, Dr. Chicken's Double-Smoked Ham and a couple of racks of ribs. I shared with 4 of my neighbors. I wore a mask and gloves while handling food, and delivered the food to their doors.

Now I have a low fever, feel achy, tired and drained.

DD#2 went to work and DD#1 has off today.

It's raining and very windy. I think if I feel up to it I'll make split pea soup for dinner.

Tina's got a big pot of Pea soup with diced ham, carrots, and diced potatoes cooking on the stove. Yummy!

Thank you Jimmy.

I also add diced onion along with all that. I may boil the ham bone or freeze it and save for later use.

I think I'll take a nap.

Thanks Lee- I am not sure what the cut was, but it came out perfect. I thank you all from NCT for teaching me how to use the reverse method of cooking.
I just had breakfast. I made a bowl of the Roast Beef, potato's, & Gravy.

Sunday's dinner at Nate's home was kind of a Bust.... He had everything carried in from a local Bistro,,,,,, the Ham was as you would hope for, but the sides left much to be desired.........one example ; Skinniest, limpest Asparagus Spears I've ever seen.... but, we move on,,,,,,,,

Smoked ribs, 1/2 of baked potato, tomato-burrata-pesto salad. Wonderful!

Those campari tomatoes taste as close to home grown as I've found - my new favorites!

The split pea soup came out great. I had 4 cups of it for supper.
Picked on the ham from yesterday, like a turkey vulture eating around its pecking order.
I'm thinking blueberry pie for dessert with ice cream.

Chef's salad tonight, with garlic bread and a glass of Malbec.

No matter what size ham I buy, there's never enough for what all I want to do with it. Like Jimmy, I like to pick at the leftover, and also have ham and lettuce sandwiches, and ham and pickle salad, and pea soup.

So versatile!

Nice looking tomatoes Lee. Love the pepperoncini.

I'm going back to 1959. My cousin Made a smoked ham for Easter dinner.
The next day, she invited her friend over to watch TV. "Nice Huh?"
Picture this..... They set the ham in their Tupperware Ham Taker container; set it between them, and a load of napkins, and each with a little paring knife, they pic pic pic / cut cut cut , and chew chew chewed on the ham till they were full. ( This is a true story ) ( God rest her soul )
