today for supper, I am making a pork tenderloin; cut into medallions.
Adding carrot thins, and zucchini. Celery, and simmered slow and low.
I will serve rice to go with it.

I made salmon with a teriyaki glaze and charred green beans with ginger and garlic. Nice quick dinner.

Wow Sage, that looks like a gourmet magazine cover.
Your meals are always appealing... in every way.

Today I'll be making baked parmesan chicken.
Sides are still in the works.
I've been looking at recipes for garlic and herb lima beans.

Craig made New England style clam chowder with the rest of the steamed clams that were in the freezer in their steaming liquid. We had gotten a 150 count bag and used some for just steamers, then spaghetti with clam sauce, and now they are all gone.

I loved this.
The mayo on the chicken prior to placing in the breadcrumbs really seals in the juices.
Very good.

We went out to our favorite high end Italian restaurant. It's a once or twice a year thing because we go all out and it's not inexpensive. First, the wine, and we also ended up ordering and drinking 2 bottles of San Pellegrino water.

Antipasti was a special 0f braised octopus with olives, capers, teardrop peppers over arugula, and a cold cut plate of bresaola, prosciutto, speck, salami and mortadella, with a bread basket of a Tuscan bread, grissini and cracker bread.

Pasta course was speck and porcini with a thyme and butter sauce over freshly made linguini. We shared an order of that.

Main was a wild boar ragu with a black truffle polenta cake. We ended up taking most of that home because we both felt so full.

I REALLY wanted dessert so we had tirmisu and double espressos. Complimentary limoncello after.

Last night I made homemade veggie, bean and beef soup.

Went food shopping this morning. Brunch was rotisserie chicken and twilight (small dark green cherry) tomatoes.

Dinner will likely be corned beef dinner. I have half a cabbage to use up.

Terrific photos, med! You had me at the plate of cold cuts. I wouldn't have been able to eat much after I polished off that!

Although, I'd have had to take a couple of bites of that beautiful pasta dish.

roasted veggies - added those mini corn ears from the stir fr section - that worked...
new recipe shrimp&grits. not worked...
grits made with 50-50 chickenstock+milk, too much butter, cheddar melted in.

make bacon crumbles reserve fat for shrimp saute, with green onion.
the cheesy flavored way too rich grits just did not go with shrimp....
many cookeries discourage dairy with fish/seafood - this was a perfect example of 'things not to do'
