Summertime Slaw

A favorite coleslaw with just the right amount of seasoning!

Makes 8 (1/2-cup) servings.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Refrigerate: 2 hours

INGREDIENTS
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon McCormick® Celery Seed
1 teaspoon McCormick® Mustard, Ground
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 package (14 ounces) shredded coleslaw mix


DIRECTIONS

1. Mix mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, celery seed, ground mustard and seasoned salt in large bowl. Add coleslaw mix; toss to coat well. Cover.

2. Refrigerate 2 hours or until ready to serve. Stir before serving.


Tips
Vanilla Slaw: Prepare as directed. Omit celery seed and ground mustard. Stir 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract into mayonnaise mixture.

See, now I love celery seed! I put it in tuna salad, too.

I know the addition of that ingredient must MAKE that slaw!

I ran out of celery seed, and it IS astronomically expensive, even in the supermarkets!! Still, I gotta get some!!

But that is pretty much how I make my slaw as well. :cooking:

looks good! I usually make a sweet/sour vinegar slaw but I have been looking at some old fashioned egg based boiled dressings I would like to try

Yes it is!

In fact, it is good in ALL salads, such as potato salads and all pasta salads!! :weber:
