Spaghetti Bolognese Sause from South Africa

From my friend from the South Africa:

1 onion (large)

2-3 tblspns Olive oil

1 tsp. garlic (ground)

4-5 tomatoes

1 tin Italian Chopped Rosa Tomatoes

1 1/2 tsp. Salt

2 tsp. Fine Red Chillies

Fresh or dry herbs to garnish.


Method :

Chop onions finely, allow to braise with olive oil until light brown.
Add in the ground garlic, and braise further.
Now add in the salt and chillies, stir and a lovely strong chilly smell will get u a bit.
Cube the tomatoes and add it to the above, allow to cook with the tin of Italian tomatoes.
It should be simmering by now, stir at intervals, and make sure to simmer until thick and saucy.

once done, remove from heat and slice fresh green chillies for extra flavour if u so wish (optional), and lastly garnish with herbs.
Basil, parsley, origanum etc.

Serve with Spaghetti and spoon this sauce over with some grated Parmesan cheese.
