Chicken with Weber Chipotle Marinade

So, a customer came up to me in my store, all upset because we only had one packet of Weber Chipotle Marinade left over from a sale. He said he had a cook-out where he used it to grill chicken for 30 people, and they all loved it, wanted to know where he got it. Customer said, "It's the BEST thing that ever happened to chicken!". He had me order 10 more packets for him.

Naturally, I had to try it.

Tried it first on thighs, adding water and oil to the seasoning packet as directed, then grilled the thighs. It was okay, not a very strong flavor, skin wasn't as crisp as I'd like (well, naturally - I mean, add WATER???)

Then I tried the marinade on wings, just adding oil to the seasoning packet (no water, for heaven's sake). Baked the wings in the oven at 375 for an hour.

Very good! Excellent chipotle flavor, mild heat. I was impressed. Really good football game food.

But, is it "The best thing that ever happened to chicken"?

No.

My mother's recipe is! http://www.netcookingtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13774&highlight=mom%27s+chicken
