Potato Salad with Cucumber dressing

6 c diced cooked potatos
1/2 c chopped green onions (including tops) divided use
1 c sour cream
1/2 c mayonnaise
1/4 tsp vinegar
1 tsp mustard, dry or prepared
3/4 c diced, peeled, seeded cucumbers
1 tsp celery seed
4 hard cooked eggs, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper, white

Mix potatoes and 1/4 c green onions. Blend remaining ingredients (except remaining green onions), pour over potato mixture and stir together. Garnish with remaining green onions.

If salad must be held for several hours before serving, omit cucumbers until just before serving. Add to mixed salad and gently blend into it.
