Jenny's Yummy Stewed Tomatoes

These are out of this world and the recipe comes from a good friend of mine.

Ingredients:
1 28 oz can of whole or crushed tomatoes
1 5oz bag of Marzetti Garlic & Butter croutons
1 large onion ( sliced and caramelized in butter or olive oil)
1 clove of crushed garlic
1 small can of chopped green chili peppers (drained)
1 T butter
a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:
Caramelize the onions in butter or oil in a large saucepan or skillet.
Add the remaining ingredients and simmer til croutons soften and mixture is hot and bubbly.

If you find the mixture a little too soupy for your taste, simply add some additional bread cubes to thicken it up a bit.

Jen said they like this with a fried egg on top too.
Or served as a side with pork cutlets.
