Default What have you eaten Sunday 1/12/2020 to Saturday 1/18/2020?

It’s been really warm the last couple days and is going to be again today. It’s 66F at 7:30am.

I will be roasting the turkey breast later.

It was warm like that here yesterday, Peeps.
With a lot of rain!

Not sure about dinner today.
If I don't get take out, it'll be this Bertolli shrimp scampi linguine that's been hanging out in the freezer.

I'm thinking of making homemade ravioli tomorrow. I'll decide tomorrow depending on pain level and if DD will help.

Jules wants me to go grocery shopping with her later.
If we do, the Chinese buffet is right next door.
So that's a possibility.

Roasted chicken the Cook's Country high heat for a little over half of cooking time, then turn off the oven and let it finish cooking. Came out good, moist meat, Craig's breast piece was perfect. Pan sauce with roasted lemon juice, thyme and shallot. Tricolor potatoes steamed, then cooked in oven with some of the chicken drippings. Brussel sprouts steamed, then finished with pecorino romano and lemon zest.

I boned out a whole turkey breast yesterday. Roasted the bones and bits then simmered for stock. I have 1 1/2 quarts of stock for the freezer.

Today I roasted the 2 skin on breast halves.

Been fighting with a cold or something for awhile. It hit like a ton of bricks this morning. Cough, sore throat, chest congestion, ear ache, completely stuffed nose. I can't taste anything.

DD will have to be the taste tester if I make the raviolis. (I will have to trust her opinion )

Had to de-bone the pork steak so it could fit.

Never got to prep the raviolis for tonight yesterday. Not sure what dinner will be tonight.

Hopefully with help from DD I will prep the pasta dough and filling for raviolis. If possible I will be able to put them together.

I feel lousy. I have a doctor appointment for tomorrow morning.

Thank you everyone.

I think it a cold and bronchitis or respiratory infection combo.

Prednisone sends my blood sugar sky high.

I had a turkey, lettuce and stuffing sandwich for dinner.

I made my plain pasta dough for sundried tomato, spinach and ricotta stuffed raviolis.
Planning to also make spinach pasta dough for plain cheese raviolis.

I used food processor to make dough today and will use for tomorrows also. So much quicker and easier than by hand.

I'll use my Atlas to roll dough and a ravioli form to stuff.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Never explain yourself. Your friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe it anyway.
