I'm happy and proud to present another great meal from my DW while I sat on my duff reading a ham radio magazine.

Dag, that chocolate cakee and everything else looks DELISH!!

Cooked some pinto beans and rice for supper.

The ones that I cooked last week, I tried to make them baked, and they didn't come out right, so I went back to doing them the normal way!!

Her favorite sauce..."Big Boy" sauce from Frisch's. Been her favorite since we were teenagers going to the drive-in for a "Big Boy and fries," and had it delivered to the window of the '67 Catalina.

Chili Cheese Burgers Tonight.

Tina didn't fly with the potato pancakes...but we did get a bag of potatoes.

I made chili sauce and Tina said it was gooood, but not like the original I make.
She doesn't know I added grated celery and a tsp. of minced garlic.
She is the taste tester, and picked it up instantly.

Anyway.....here it is...on lightly toasted Italian Bread.

Dessert will be the second half of the chocolate cake from last night.
Darn... we polished off a whole 1/2 of a 9" cake.

OH MAN guys!! You're killing me. That looks so good.
Joe I want that salad.
Everyones meals sound wounderful.

We had linguini with doctored plain hunt's tomato sause (EVOO,fresh garlic, oinion, dry herbs and spices and burgundy wine). I love the plain tomato sauce with nothing added it is a wonderful blank palete to work with. We had steamed fresh broccoli and carrots.

Doctored sauce brings back memories...

Tina and I were dating..hahaha..and we would stop at my house to watch the late late show with my dad! .... that was a big thing in the 60's.

Dad would say,"How bout I make us a quick sauce with spaghetti?"

Tina would jump for spaghetti. She just loved it, and still does.

Dad had a knack with just some sweated onions and oregano with plain Hunts Tomato Sauce.. We would be eating spaghetti at 2:00 in the morning while watching a Movie on the TV..in Black and White no less!
There we were with our metal TV trays in the TV room slurping twirls of spaghetti! Haaaaaaaa It was SOooooooo Gooood!!

Going out for dinner.
I'll be having spaghetti and meatballs.
I've got a dinner date with a lovely man I met through some friends.

Last night's dinner was a soba noodle and pork stir fry. Not sure about tonight.

Enjoy your date, Sass!

Well... I made supper for myself. Mommy was down her uncles and is on her way home now.

I made a stupid omlet. I must be losin it or something.

I used egg beaters, and insted of chopping the boiled ham, I threw it on top the eggs in whole slices, and then some cheese sliced, and folded it.

I had a heck of a time eating it, and had to use a knife to cut it and shovel it in my mouth.
Had rye toast with butter as a pusher. Doused it with hot sauce. Yum!
No picture...I ate it so darn fast...if the camera was close by, I would have swallowed it too!

DW brought a coconut custard pie, and a pecan pie. I had a huge slice of each.

Ate at a local Thai restaurant last night for the first, and probably the last, time.......
shrimp, salmon, calamari ... all over-done. (sigh!)

As a rule, I don't eat at every Chinese restaurant that I see.

But it IS a good idea to try a few and see how you think that you might like it.

I usually try a small appitizer, like boneless ribs or something. That way, if it doesn't taste ok, there's no love lost. :thumb:
