Tonight is gonna be Pizza made from pita breads.

And I'm cooking again tonight!!
Sazeracs made with love by Lou
First course is a salad of roasted beets, dandelion greens, honey walnut vinaigrette and goat cheese
Dinner is soft shell crabs in a sauce of raw tomato, sweet italian sausage, mushrooms, garlic, butter and wine. I have an olive ciabatta to serve with that.
Wine is a Sinskey Pinot from the Vandal Vinyard 2009
Lou took cake from the restaurant for dessert - chocolate layers with a peanut butter fluff frosting.

Camera is at the restaurant but I'll try to take pictures with the iphone.

Ooooo, that sounds good Peepers!

For breakfast, I made hamburger steaks, hash browns, cheese eggs and the homemade cinnamon swirl toast with the apple butter that I made yesterday.

We had to take the girls (our fur babies) to the vet for their annual shots so we picked up Chick-fil-a on the way home. We each had a Chick-fil-a sandwich, waffle fries and cole slaw and the girls split a 12 pack of nuggets.

Here's breakfast this morning:

LS!! Nice!!! :D

Jimmy, sounds good.
Veraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, pics soon??

Worked today, ate what they served for the patients/residents.
A beef stew which was really good (comes from Gordon Food Service) a biscuit with butter and some pear concoction for dessert.. they list it on the menu as 'blushing pears'...it's canned pear halves in syrup heated with red hot candies melted in, and topped with whipped cream.

Not bad really.

Thanks, Dear! It was pretty good, if I do say so myself. Got a great deal on the bird at the local market(and they deliver), made a less than $5 bird taste like a nice, low country, rustic dish that would go for eye popping money in the city. It's so funny how that works, less is more, but damn if it was't a good dinner.
