Would it be too many to list as well as the 8 left for some of us newcomers?



What is left of the original list:

1. Duck
2. Ground Cow
3. Smoked Pig
4. Your favourite spice
5. Your favourite herb
6. Stew
7. Middle Eastern
8. Seasonal vegetable of your choice (must be 'in' season)


Original list:

1. (and in no particular order, either, just number 1 because someone has to be...) stuffed, filled or layered pasta.
2. Pasta (unstuffed, filled or otherwise layered)
3. Chicken
4. Duck
5. Turkey
6. Fowl (yeah, you can also do one for the previous three)
7. Fish - with scales and fins
8. Shellfish and things that live in shells
9. Something from the ocean/pond/lake/stream/river/puddle
10. Cow
11. Pig
12. Ground Cow
13. Smoked Pig
14. Eggs
15. Cheese
16. Cream
17. Your favourite spice

Andy, I would love to see the original list put to bed before we come up with a new one. We're just two months away from completing a project that began almost a year ago....we only missed a couple of weeks. Please!!

It would be so impressive to actually finish the list.

When I made that original list, the smoked pig was meant to be an hommage to bacon, by the way....

When I made that original list, the smoked pig was meant to be an hommage to bacon, by the way....

Bacon is what I'll be using, but it doesn't have to be, right?

If any of us wants to use our smoker to cook some pork, that would be okay, I assume?

Wish this one had come up in the summer!

Yes, use your smoker!! I realized my sausage and peppers wouldn't fit the bill because my sausage is not smoked.
I should have taken a picture of the plate of bacon, grits and over easy eggs I served a guest this morning!

I agree Vera, Lets finish this one! I have listed some for consideration for future lists. I enjoy Cook's Challenge. FP is fun and I enjoy seeing what people come up with. Everyone who participates are very creative cooks but I find it to limited for my families tastes. BUT one day I may sneak something past them!! LOL

Would someone start a new thread for suggestions for the next challenge?

Since this would be the third incarnation of the gig..Call it NCT Cooks Challenge Volume III, or NCT Cooks Challenge 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, etc..

I think everyone who participates should be quite pleased with themselves for actually being ready to begin a third challenge. So, 8 more challenges in this one and then the next one can begin.

I think we should table the idea of starting the new thread until the old one is nearer to being finished. Peeps has volunteered to start it up a week or 2 before this one wraps.

Thanks Peeps! We'll wait for you to start it when the time is right!
