Turkey Chili

This is my quick and healthier chili recipe, made with ground turkey and black beans.

2-3 lbs ground turkey
3 15 oz cans black beans
1 15 oz can pinto beans
1-2 cups salsa
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
1 can water
Chili seasonings (if you have a premix, that will work)
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1-2 cloves garlic
1 tsp black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
2 tsp onion powder
1 -4 tsp cayenne pepper (more means hotter)

Brown the ground turkey.

Place 2 cans undrained black beans in large pot and mash the beans with a potato masher until broken a bit (this will thicken the chili a bit)
Dump the other ingredients in the pot and add the browned turkey. Stir until well mixed, and simmer for an hour or longer until desired tenderness.

Obviously, this could be improved with some fresh veggies (Green peppers, jalepenos or Anaheim chilis, onions), but this is a quick fixing chili. Very meaty, even guys like it!
