Finnish Herring Caviar

2 eggs
3 herring fillets
1 red onion
1 gherkin
1 dl (0.42) chives
1 dl (0.42 cup) dill
2 dl (0.85 cup) mayonnaise
1 tsp salt

For decoration:
dill
caper
boiled eggs

1. Boil the eggs and cool them. Peel the onion and dice. Dice the gherkin as small as possible. Dice herring. Cut dill and chives. Mix all the ingredients together. Cut the chicken eggs and put caviar on top. Decorate with herbs.
2. Serve with toast or rye bread.

Yes. Or put some of that herring caviar to the toast, then half egg and garnish with dill and capers.

Yummy any ways. :readytoeat: Very typical appertizer here.
